Here you can apply for the PORGMUN conference that will take place in Prague at Gymnázium Nový PORG in May 8-11 2014. The conference is open to all high-school students in 9.-13. grade.
Registration is open to all high-schools globally. Teachers or school directors are to submit the PORGMUN School Registration Form. Schools are supposed to from delegations. Each delegation is formed by 6 students representing one country in different committees. For countries present in the Security Council, there are 7 students in a delegation. It is possible to send more than one delegation per school.
If you do not have a whole delegation and still would like to take part, send us an email to registration|at|porgmun.cz. In case there will be space left, we will get back to you. Do not register unless you have a full delegation.
Upon registering you will be sent a confirmation via e-mail.
All participants must be proficient in English and able to take part in the debates. Furthermore, each foreign school is to send at least one teacher to accompany students. The teacher should be present during the conference. For Czech schools a written consent of a teacher is required. We reserve the right to inform the consenting teachers about their students’ participation.
PORGMUN offers a housing program in families in Prague. Please fill out the Housing Program Registration Form to apply. We will try to find the most suitable family for all students, however we are not able to guarantee that a family will be found for every student. The fee for the housing program is 10 Euros and is to be paid once you have received the confirmation that you have been accepted into the program.
PORGMUN is a non-profit project dependent mainly on donations. We are proud to say that we have managed to lower the fee to no more than 20 Euros. This includes complete catering including two lunches, all printing costs, a welcome package for each delegate and much, much more!
What’s better, for those schools that register and pay the participants’ fee before April 14th, the fee per delegate is only 15 Euro.
Accompanying teachers will also be provided all catering services and will have unrestricted access to committees. For each delegation (6 students) we will accept one accompanying teacher for free. Should there be multiple accompanying teachers for a single delegation, the second and any further teacher will be charged an amount equal to the participants’ fee.
Payments are to be sent within 14 days after registering. Not doing so may eventually lead to cancellation of registration.
